Archbishop Dr. Van Gayton

First Vice President - Dean of Education

Dr. Van Gayton has over 40 years of experience as a professor, pastor, and conference speaker, teaching and training students and leaders all over the world. 

He holds a Bachelor of Theology and Master of Theology, from the International Bible Institute and Seminary. A Doctor of Theology from Faith Theological Seminary, in Tampa, Fla. Most recently receiving a Doctor of Ministry from Reformed Theological Seminary. He did graduate studies at Beacon University.

Dr. Van Gayton has taught subjects such as Philosophy of Religion at Jamestown Community College, The African American Religious Experience at the University at Buffalo, and The Bible and Race at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.  He also taught Theology, Apologetics, and Classical Education, to high school students, as their teacher and high school principal.

Dr. Van. Gayton presently serves on the board of advisors for Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, in Jacksonville, Florida, He also serves as a member of the Alliance for Black Pentecostal Scholarship, a member of the Society of Pentecostal Studies, and First Vice President and Dean of Education is for the International College of Bishop, based in Austin Texas. 

He hosts a weekly television show called Power Principles on Impact Network and weekly Christian radio shows in Jacksonville and Lake City Florida. 

Archbishop Dr. Van Gayton was raised and Ordained in the Church of God in Christ and was consecrated Bishop in the Evangelical Episcopal Church in 1996.

Dr. Gayton has traveled extensively throughout Africa, Europe, Central America, and South America, speaking and teaching in leadership seminars for clergy. He traveled to Turkey with a Muslim delegation to participate in dialogue for understanding between the Muslim and Christian religions. 

Dr. Gayton has lectured at several Universities and Churches for Black History Month including Harvard Divinity School, Niagara University, University at Buffalo, UCLA, and the University of Pennsylvania. He has written a book called “The Good News for Racism: From Liberation to Reconciliation”. (Amazon.com)

Archbishop Dr. Van Gayton has been married to his high school sweetheart, Ellen, for over 50 years and has a daughter, Tabetha, PhD and granddaughter, Jasmine. When Van is not ministering, he enjoys taking walks with Ellen, reading, and golfing.

Chief Prelate: Redemption Faith Ministries International Inc

Archbishop Dr. C. Lloyd Battieste accepted the Lord as his personal Savior in 1965. After fulfilling the path of preparation, he was ordained to the Gospel Ministry on the 20th of July 1975. He was Consecrated Bishop in 1983, and in June 2010 was inducted into the office of an Archbishop.

 He is the founding Pastor of Redemption Worship Centre in Toronto, Canada, as well as the Founder and Presiding Archbishop of Redemption Faith Ministries International Inc. which oversees Churches, Ministries, and Ministers in several countries around the globe.

He also serves as President/Chancellor of the Mount Olivet Bible Institute & Seminary, Toronto, Canada, is an Executive member of the International Conference Bishops Inc. U.S.A., and Co-Founder and Chief Prelate of the International Council of Pentecostal Bishops Inc., Ontario, Canada.

Archbishop Dr. Battieste is a dynamic servant of God and preaches with faith and power - letting the anointing of the Holy Spirit flow freely in his services. He conducts seminars, workshops, lectures, and meetings at various International conferences and conventions.

 

Archbishop Dr. Battieste's quest for knowledge took him through both the secular and religious corridors of the Jamaica Commercial Institute, the Basil Miller Bible Institute, the Canada Christian College, the United Christian Bible Institute, (U.S.A.), the International Theological Seminary, (U.S.A.), Vision International University (U.S.A.), where he obtained various diplomas, certificates, and degrees. He is a Certified Psychotherapist and Counsellor, and a member of the Evangelical Order of Pastoral Counsellors of America.   He is also an International Ambassadorial Chaplin (certified by UNECOSCO). In June 2008 he was awarded with the keys to the City of Kingston, Jamaica.

 

Archbishop Dr. Battieste has been married to Rev. Sephlyn Battieste for over 40 years and their union has produced two daughters, Anique and Danika, and two grandchildren, Keianna and Dawson.
